SeniorNet Motueka is part of the nation-wide programme to teach, within a congenial environment, basic computer skills to persons in the 55+ age group and those who are physically disabled.

Bernina Club sewing classes
Bernina offers classes once a month on the third Saturday, from 9.45am to 4.00pm at The Band Hall, Recreation Centre. Each class costs $15.00 for the day. Bring any sewing you are working on. Tutor Margaret Prebble demonstrates in the morning, and in the afternoon helps as you are free to do any sewing projects you may be working on.
Adult Learning Support
Adult Learning Support (ALS) is a not for profit organisation that exists to empower the Nelson and Motueka communities through Literacy, Language and Numeracy (LLN) tuition. Any member of the community who needs help with reading, writing, spelling, maths, study skills, unit standards, Correspondence School or even the Road Code can use our services.

Motueka Toastmasters Club
Toastmasters helps people develop confidence through public speaking and public roles. There are programmes for learning how to speak effectively and also for developing leadership skills. Motueka Toastmasters, founded in 2006, is part of the world-wide Toastmasters network.

Whenua Iti Outdoors
Situated at Lower Moutere (approximately 10 minutes drive from Motueka), we are funded by the Ministry of Education to provide an LEOTC (Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom) service to schools in Nelson and Tasman districts. We cater to children aged from new entrants through to secondary school. We provide both outdoor education and environmental education programmes.
