Alzheimers Support Services
Alzheimers Nelson provides information and guidance to families affected by dementia through a range of services including individual family support, support groups, an Early Memory Loss group, day care services, and education and seminars. These services are also provided through a group in Motueka.

Supporting Families in Mental Illness
We have a Motueka based fieldworker working from the Community House on Decks Reserve. Formerly our group was called Schizophrenia Fellowship and although we still support families who have Schizophrenia, we also support those dealing with other serious mental health problems.

Motueka Therapeutic Riding (Riding for the Disabled)
We are one of over 50 groups throughout New Zealand that provide therapeutic riding for children and adults who are physically or intellectually challenged or have learning or social disabilities. Our group is run by a dedicated core of volunteers under the direction of the RDA Manager and Instructor.

Health Action Trust
A community-based health promotion organisation that emerged from a 1982 Community Action project in Nelson. We work in Nelson City and Tasman District areas. We do health promotion work using a community action approach, working alongside other groups to assist them to develop solutions that will improve health.

Provides services including free Health Shuttle for appointments to dentist, physio, doctors etc; Youth Cadets training for 6 - 18 years; a hall and board room facility for training sessions and meetings; free Caring Caller for house-bound people, and Life Link personal alarm systems.

Our services are available to the whole community; Nelson Asthma Society is a non-profit organization offering a free service to anyone with Asthma or other respiratory conditions such as COPD/CORD or emphysema, for example. We cover the Nelson & Tasman area including Golden Bay and Murchison.

No Lights No Lycra
A dance night that was started in 2009 in Melbourne. There is no light, no lycra, no teacher, no steps to learn, no technique, just free movement. It is pure dance (your own way) for an hour, to a wide range of awesome music.

Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower Trust aims to teach people the skills needed to be emotionally and physically safe with others and with themselves. This includes skills such as setting boundaries for better relationships, safety plans to prepare for the unexpected, speaking up for oneself and for others, and self protection to prevent trouble.

Whenua Iti Outdoors
Situated at Lower Moutere (approximately 10 minutes drive from Motueka), we offer training options including 10 - 12 week courses for youth and adults. Based in the outdoors our courses lead to increased confidence, fitness and support to move into employment or further training.
