Weekly Police Report, up to October 12th
Incidents reported and attended to during the past week:
October 7th:
- 41 yr old Motueka male driving while disqualified. Car impounded.
- Supported a mentally unwell female in Lower Moutere.
- Accident between car and mobility scooter at a pedestrian crossing. Minor injury.
October 8th:
- 24 yr old Motueka female suspended from driving 3 months - excess demerit points.
October 9th:
- 18 yr old male arrested for detox, intoxicated and jumped over several property fences. Taken to Nelson to sober up.
- 3 flowering maunka trees 1 metre tall stolen from Motueka address, another plant stolen from nearby.
- 20 yr old Motueka male driving whilst forbidden. Car impounded.
- Domestic assault at Riwaka. 30 yr old male arrested.
October 10th:
- Burglary overnight of a Mapua business. Small amount of cash stolen.
- Verbal domestic argument in Riwaka.
- Assault in Motueka between 2 females. 18 yr old female arrested.
October 11th:
- Car wing mirror smashed at Lowe/Woodland Avenue corner.
- 16 yr old youth seen drinking alcohol, ran off but located nearby. $200 instant fine, Youth Aid follow up for cannabis related item.
October 12th:
- 25 year old Motueka male drink driving. Blew 650mgr/l, limit 400. Licence suspended immediately.
- 30 yr old male drink driving. Blew 680 mgr/l, limit 400. Licence suspended immediately.
