Motueka A&P Show continues to grow

August 21st, 2014

Work is under way to run the annual ITM Motueka A&P Society show at Marchwood Park, which this year will use a Christmas theme.

The Association committee have prepared and published on this site the Trade Form and Terms/Conditions sheet for stalls in the trades area. You can see and download them here.

Being so close to Christmas Day, the committee want the whole trade area to reflect the magic of Christmas. There is a Champion ribbon for the best Trade Stand on the day, so stall holders are challenged to think how they can make their stand special.

The show continues to grow, with the addition of the Unregistered Miniature Pony, Donkey, Lambs/Sheep, and Calves sections, new classes in many sections, and increased prize-money for many.

The committee have continued to improve Marchwood Park, with much painting being done as well as an upgrade to the eastern toilet block, including new floors.

"We do not limit the number of Trades of any one type, other than where a contract exists with a particular supplier, such as Hotdogs and Chips," says Trish Palmer, A&P Society secretary.

"The feedback we have is that the sites are good value cost-wise, and the good quality stands will always do well."

She says some trades people have asked for a separate food court, and she would like to hear from anyone who would like to be a part of that.

There are further opportunities to raise a trade's profile through sponsorship packages, which start from $25. "This gets your name in the schedule, catalogue, and other promotion, including over the loudspeaker on show day," Trish says. "Please contact me if you would like to sponsor a class or section of the show."
