Fitness classes aim to 'get Motueka moving'

A new physical activity initiative aiming to "get Motueka moving" will start next week at Decks Reserve.

ACTIVE is a physical activity initiative for both beginners and fit people wanting to take a further step up. It is being run by Motueka Family Service Centre under the direction of passionate and enthusiastic personal trainer Edee Harris.

"With summer on its way we want to support as many people in the community to attend Bootcamp at Decks Reserve," the publicity says, promising small group exercise classes for any ability.

The ACTIVE classes start next Monday, September 26th, and will cost $6.00 per person, and concession cards are available.

They will run after work from 5.35pm to 6.10pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and is for beginners, low to moderate intensity class. This class is designed to get you back moving and into exercise safely with an option for everybody.

HIIT or High Intensity Interval Training has been tailored for individuals with a base fitness ready to take it to the next level. This class is designed to boost your fitness and strengthen your body.

HIIT classes run from 6.15pm to 7.00pm Mondays and Wednesdays, also at Decks Reserve

"Exercises have levels for any age and ability, so work within the time frame that suits you - just turn up and start moving!"
