Time running out to 'have your say in May'

There are only a few days left now for Motueka people to have their say in the community consultation process, "Motueka 2030", being run by Vision Motueka throughout May.

For the past four weeks an online survey and its equivalent in paper version have been put before anyone who lives in or often visits Motueka.

The survey asks for opinions, rated 0 to 5, on 45 potential changes or projects that have been identified as taking the town into a stronger future.

The survey closes at the end of May, but with June 1st being a public holiday the close off time will be 6pm on that day. Paper versions can be dropped in to the Motueka Library until then (and use the book returns slot when the library is closed).

So far about 225 questionnaires have been answered online (using Survey Monkey), and about 270 returned in paper version. The initial aim was for 500-plus responses, so organisers are pleased with the results to date. They say this will enable a fair and accurate sampling of the opinions of residents.

The paper version can be filled out outside the museum between about 10am and 3pm tomorrow (Friday), or taken away from there and returned to the library later but before June 2nd. The online version can be done by clicking on this link: www.surveymonkey.com/s/8M3VSQ9.
