Photo exhibition to brighten winter days
July 4th, 2012
[by David Armstrong]
A three-week exhibition of the works of Motueka's top photographers starting next Tuesday at the Motueka museum will doubtless distract us from the winter blues.
The Motueka Camera Club are showing a collection of members work at the exhibition, which will run through to Friday July 27th. This will take place instead of the usual photo competition run by SeniorNet as part of previous Festival of Lights festivals.
About five images per member will be displayed, and the organisers are hoping to have around 80-90 images for viewing in the main museum room.
Prices will not be advertised on the images, but all photos will be available for purchase if someone enquires through one of the exhibition organisers, Lisa Ball.
Club members will be responsible for preparing the display. Unlike in previous years, there are no prizes or awards.
The Camera Club has some very talented members, and previous exhibitions have shown many remarkable works, so visitors can expect to see stunning photography at the highest of standards. Entry will be free.
