Toy making contest planned for autumn
January 27th, 2016
The creative folk at the Motueka Arts Council will this year hold a "Make a Child's Toy" competition to keep inventive people busy over autumn.
In previous years the Council has mounted some popular unusual competitions, the most recent ones being for tea cosies.
Although entries for the toy competition will close on 15th June, organisers are giving plenty of notice for creative people to put on their thinking caps.
The rules are very simple: competitors may use any craft or technique to make a toy, and any materials can be used.
Entry forms and class details will be available from 1st March. Entry is free.
As with the tea cosies, the competition convenor is Shirley Wallace, and she may be contacted for information at or .
