Rec Centre to host open information evening

The Motueka Recreation Centre is one jewel in Motueka's crown, but many people still don't know the range of services and activities that it offers.

Following recent upgrades and renovation at the centre, Sports Tasman management, in partnership with Vision Motueka, is holding an open evening next Thursday for people to tour the facilities and hear about present and future plans.

Brent and Jody Maru will be available to provide information about new facilities such as the youth drop-in centre and the upstairs exercise activity.

Sports Tasman, through the Recreation Centre, offers a broad range of programmes that extend far beyond just gymnasium and sports.

Brent and Jody along with their dedicated staff are active in many initiatives, often aimed particularly at the young people of our community.

The public meeting is one of a programme of community information get-togethers that Vision Motueka is hosting every few months.

The open evening will be held on Thursday, November 5th starting at 7.30pm. Meet in the foyer.
