Motueka riders win prizes at Murchison Gymkhana

Motueka Pony Club had a good showing at the Murchison 60th Anniversary Gymkhana.

The day was great fun, with show ring classes, bareback riding, games, barrel racing, an obstacle course, trotting races, jumping and much more.

Thirteen of the Motueka pony club riders were there and all represented their pony club extremely well; with happy smiling faces, good sportsmanship and comradery and lovely turnout (both riders and horses).

The blue uniforms also were a regular feature at the prize giving. Motueka's Woods sisters took out runner-up champion team for the day, Grace Dalziel and Lauren Woods awarded the junior champion and runner up junior champion.

Ashleigh Woods was runner-up intermediate champion and Jasmine Barker was runner-up senior champion.
