Functions of the big tower beside the TDC offices in Hickmott Ave

Question 2:  Regarding the big tower beside the TDC offices in Hickmott Ave, what was it put there for and what function of functions does it serve now? Are the dishes that look like microwave transmitters for cellphone area linkage or for TV broadcast links?

Answer:  I'm pretty certain that the TDC offices were originally the Telecom building and the tower was/is a transmission tower. Suggest you contact Colin Wilson, Greenwood St, as he was the last manager of Telecom in Motueka. The original council offices stood where The Mooring Cafe now stands.
