I'm trying to find some info on 42 King Edward Street.
I went along King Edward Street to see which is No 42. I believe it may have belonged to the Ovens family. Nurse Kitty Ovens was the daughter and she was a district nurse.
There is a story about her in Volume 7 of the Motueka Historical Assn journal which is for sale at the Motueka Museum. If you come on a Tuesday (but after the 9th September as we are away till then) to the museum between 10-3pm we man the research room and may have further material there.
I am thinking of the memoirs of Colin Hawken who built the Kia Ora store. He named people up and down the streets of Motueka. We will know others who you could approach to ask that won't be of the computer age.
