Wedding Hub promotes special event destination
June 26th, 2017
A new venture based in Motueka aims to further build the size and professionalism of the Nelson and Tasman wedding and events industry.
Led by Terri Everett, The Wedding Hub NZ will aim to encourage leading industry members in good working practice, cross marketing opportunities and engagement with potential customers while promoting our region and New Zealand as a world class wedding and events destination.
Wedding Hub NZ plans to work with members to develop an annual Nelson & Tasman Wedding fair for May 2018 and showcase potential event venues and packages, while promoting its members throughout the year with social media, radio and video campaigns.
It will engage with couples and potential customers by cross marketing, social media interaction with actual and online workshops, as well as collaborative promotion through blog and publication.
Terri says membership investment will save hundreds of dollars on members' discounts via expos, shows and publications in partnership, and as the group grows further savings on bulk buying and members privileges.
"The vision is to build media content with actual DIY wedding workshops, radio and YouTube video with member interviews and education," she says.
"The idea is to bring together the industry standard and interaction to make planning much easier for the public, while providing a window into our region as a world class destination."
The Wedding Hub NZ has a studio at 78 High Street Motueka, and provides a space that can be used by members for their own consultations and business meetings and/or workshops.
There is also a photography studio for hire with a hair and make-up station and changing room.
Other activities planned so far include a Playhouse Pop-up Wedding Promotion in September, a Redstone and Armageddon Wedding Venue Showcase in November, and a new website on the way.
