Test your rugby passing skills with Makos
August 16th, 2017
Locals are invited to join a rugby passing skills test at Mitre 10 Motueka on 20th August, and compete against Tasman Makos players to win rugby-themed prizes and enjoy a fun family morning out.
This will be held after the local team goes head to head with Canterbury in the big game on, Friday night.
At the event, Ryan Coxon, Will Jordan and Pari Pari Parkinson will be sharing their rugby passing tips and tricks, and be competing against the Mitre 10 customers who are game.
2017's Under 20's world rugby tournament representative and current Tasman player, Will Jordan (pictured), said he's looking forward to the event at Mitre 10.
"Provincial rugby games have been around for 140 years now and so there are some pretty significant historic rivalries in NZ which makes the competition really fun.
"It's great to see the Motueka Mitre 10 throwing their support behind the local team and getting the community together."
Mitre 10 Motueka owner, David Richards said that he's really looking forward to the Mitre 10 Cup.
"Being a local owner and a keen supporter of the local team, this event is the perfect way for the store to show our support for the competition.
"It will be great to bring the community together, meet the players, and have a little competition of our own to see who's got the finest passing skills in our town," said Richards.
Activities will take place over the period 10.00am to 12 noon on Sunday.
