The Trewavas Street Art Walk a tremendous success

December 11th, 2017
[by Joyce Griffin]

The Trewavas Street Art Walk was a tremendous success once again.

We had glorious weather and between 300/400 people attending, which is more than double from last year. This was an approximate head count by two artists independently from each other who were taking part.

Mostly ladies, but quite a few gentlemen and several dogs.

On the day we had 28 artists, three had to pull out but we added another two.

Many sales were enjoyed with only about 3 not selling anything.

Reports from the public on the day maintained that they were all enjoying the experience, many sat for a while in gardens and drank cold water by the gallon... it was a very hot day.

Next year we will be at it again, same time same place, date to be decided, so hopefully those who couldn't make it this year will come along in 2018 and join the fun.

Season's Greetings to all have a safe holiday and a Happy New Year.

Joyce Griffin, Motueka Arts Council.
