Roadworks coming up for High Street

The NZ Transport Agency will be resurfacing State Highway 60 (High Street) in Motueka, between Wratt Street and Whakarewa Street from the 3rd to the 9th of April (weather permitting).

The work will involve sealing the road with a chip seal on Thursday the 3rd and then returning on Monday the 7th to Wednesday 9th to complete the work with a smooth slurry surface over the chip seal.

The initial chip seal surface will be driven over during the weekend, which may cause some additional traffic noise through the area, until the final surface is completed.

During the roadworks, northbound traffic will use High Street and southbound traffic will be diverted via Woodland Avenue and Wratt Street.

Affected residents have been informed. Crews working for the contractor Downer will be on site through the day from 8.30am to 6.00pm.
