Community picnic for retirement home residents

November 18th, 2012

Terri Everett is arranging a community picnic for the residents of Woodlands Retirement home on 21st November, and is asking for local business support to donate a picnic.

More than just a sit-down meal, Terri has also arranged for children from St Peter Chanel Catholic Parish to interview the retirement residents to see what they did when they were active in the community for Motueka.

"It's a kind of thank you and just to remind us all we will be in this situation, one day and it will be good to be remembered and thanked for our efforts," Terri says.

Unfortunately, the response from businesses has been a little disappointing. So far businesses backing the event include The Dream Maker, Perfect Style, BNZ, Raindrops on Roses, The Red Pie Shed, Flaming Hot Catering, New World, Bowaters and the Ladies Marching brigade.

Any other contributions would be gratefully received by Terri at or email
