Photo exhibition a great break from winter blues
July 17th, 2012
[by David Armstrong]
A steady stream of visitors over the past week have been enjoying the wonderful photographic exhibition mounted by the Motueka Camera Club at the museum.
With winter at its coldest, a 20-minute visit to the exhibition may be just the tonic we need. The exhibition will run until the end of next week (July 27th).
There are 95 photos displayed, all taken by Camera Club members. The museum has also pitched in by helping to mount a display of old cameras and accessories (see photos below), which will trigger nostalgia amongst older people and be of interest to younger people who only know about digital cameras.
As we have come to expect from the excellent photographers who belong to the club, the photos on display represent a wide and interesting range of styles and subjects.
Several of the photos have featured on the club's Facebook pages over the past half year, but you have to see the original works live to realise just how much detail, clarity and depth of colour that the photographers have managed to capture.
