Imagine Theatre ready for 2012 family production

May 15th, 2012

Directed by Izzy Erridge and assisted by Bridget Lummis, Imagine Theatre's latest family production "Around the Pond in 80 Days" will be staged in Motueka in two weeks.

It will run at the Memorial Hall from Thursday, May 24th to Sunday, May 27th. There are three evening performances starting at 7pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with matinee performances also on Saturday 2pm and Sunday 2pm.

Colourful and lively, the show follows the fortunes of the daring Phileas Frog and his side-kick Pass the Toad across land and water and through the clouds. It's crucial that Phileas succeeds - he has wagered Fink the boss of the lily-pad factory and his own luxury lilypond is at stake.

The lead roles of Phileas and Pass are played by up-and-coming actors Nathan Peacock and Christie Ahern, both of whom attend Motueka High School. Chloe Taylor and Lani Richards, who also attend Motueka High, are in the roles of Fix the snake and Fink respectively, while Sofia Gower portrays the Princess.
