Councillors hear complaints about airport plan

Excessive aircraft noise, poor management and high costs to ratepayers were among criticisms aired last Thursday at a hearing into Motueka Aerodrome's development plan.

The airport's management and development plan attracted 21 written submissions, which were heard in public by six Tasman District councillors, who will consider the submissions and report to council's November's corporate services meeting.
