Dressage tuition offered for equestrian riders

May 27th, 2011
[by David Armstrong]

Equestrian sports are growing in Motueka from strength to strength, and a new course being offered by local rider Jeanette Garrett will help swell the numbers of the dressage group even further.

Jeanette, who holds qualifications on the discipline and is an ESNZ Performance Coach, is offering evening classes with a focus on dressage, based on interactive evening lectures from the basics to elementary and medium dressage levels.

The lectures will help improve the way your horse goes, explain the dressage jargon, and teach how to set goals and make a step by step plan for you and your horse.

The lectures will be held on Tuesday evenings on 12th, 19th and 26th July from 7pm till 9pm, at the Meeting Room of Motueka Community House, Decks Reserve.

A fee of $30 will be charged for all three sessions, with a $5 concession for pre-enrolment up to 2 weeks before the first session. Jeanette is also offering a "Recession concession", whereby if you bring two friends you can enrol free. Profits will be donated to the Motueka Winter Series Dressage Group to help purchase a new dressage arena.

Enrolments should be sent to Jeanette at 10 Tui Close, Motueka 7120.
