Riwaka features on National radio programme
November 17th, 2011
Riwaka featured in a 40-minute "Your place" spot on today's Radio New Zealand National's Afternoon show with Jim Mora, with fascinating interviews with three of the town's best known characters.
Darryl Wilson, Danny Fowler and Bill "Turtle" Curtain all gave their accounts on various aspects of life and past times in Riwaka. Darryl, owner of Wilsons Abel Tasman, was able to go back generations to his family's association with the Abel Tasman National Park.
Danny and Turtle talked about life in the area back when they were younger, and how it has all changed. All were excellent ambassadors for the listening public around the country, raving about the weather, the surroundings and the way of life.
