Service to remember the Pike River miners

November 25th

A special service will be held on Sunday November 28th at 2.00pm at St Thomas Church Auditorium, High Street to remember and grieve the loss of the 29 Pike River coalminers and to offer support through prayers for their loved ones and for the Greymouth community. The service is, of course, open to all people of all faiths and beliefs.

The Tasman District Council Offices are collection points for the Pike River Miners Relief Fund Trust, set up by the Grey District Council to help those affected by the Pike River Mine tragedy. You can drop off a donation to any of our Council Offices.

Council Offices in Richmond, Motueka, Takaka and Murchison will also have condolence books available for those who wish to pass on their thoughts to the affected families and friends.
