Amalgamation submissions to be heard in Motueka this week

The Local Government Commission received about 450 submissions on the proposal for the union of Tasman District and Nelson City.

Submissions from Motueka residents will be heard at St John Hall, 15a Courtney Street, on Thursday 16th December from 1.00pm to 5.30pm, and are open to the public.

The schedule for that afternoon is as follows:

1.00pm - Motueka Community Board, John Krammer, Bruce Dyer, Rod & Leonie Haines
2.00pm - Roger May, Ian & Nova Davey, Brian & Lorraine Lister, Murray McKay
3.00pm - Afternoon tea
3.15pm - Ed Stevens, Samuel Tawhai, David Ogilvie, Phil & Jane Peters
4.15pm - Motueka Valley Residents Association (Lesley Hadley), Robert Murphy, G E Butler, Ruth Lawley & Anna Mitchell,
John Kelly & Betzy Iannuzzi
