RWC 2011 volunteers still needed

Interviews are being held this week for people who have applied to be Rugby World Cup 2011 (RWC 2011) volunteers - and there’s still a chance for those yet to register to get involved.

If you haven’t already registered, you still can register online or in person on Friday 12 November to be interviewed at one of two sessions: 9am and 11am. Come along to the Nelson City Council Chamber at either session to sign up.

RWC 2011 Nelson Host Workforce Manager Ian Littleworth says there are still gaps to be filled, but people need to be quick as interviews need to be completed this year to allow training and uniforms to be organised.

“We have a great pool of residents already registered who are keen to show visitors how special Nelson and Tasman are, but we still need more – we need you! Volunteering is a great way to be involved in this once in a lifetime event.”
