Animal testing for legal highs
July 24th, 2013
by Terri Everett
There is a lot of activity across NZ gathering interest in a march (National DOG Walk) in protest against Animal testing for legal highs. Not only is this unexceptable from animal cruelty but totally unexceptable as far as education to our young people.
The public want to be heard. There is a facebook page run by HUHA which is an on-line protest, this was inspired when my son Chris helped make a poster and we posted it on their normal page. I have since seen over 500 posts with messages.
I would like to see Motueka and Nelson come out in support of protest against this terrible ruling. We need leaders in Nelson and are suggesting the dog beach at Tahuan. The walk will be at 12.pm on 30th July at the same time as the big march in Wellington and Christchurch.
I know that Campbell Live, Seven Sharp and several other big media interest will be taking part in the protest. I also know that there will be celebraties, singing and showing their views out in the public. It would be good for our voices to be heard to.
Anyone interested to help can contact Angela Beer, 021539699, , www.petsandpats.com, www.facebook/petsandpats. Angela is co-ordinating the marches across the country.
