The Motueka Men's Shed
The Motueka men's shed is a popular meeting place for a group of men who like to make things,
help the community, and make friends.
Our group is growing now that we have a permanent home in the produce shed at Marchwood
Park, behind the aerodrome.
We meet 9am to noon every Wednesday and Thursday, new members are welcome, please use
the College Street entrance to Marchwood Park.
Our biggest task so far has been the rebuilding of a wall of the produce shed, which belongs to the
Motueka A&P Association, with whom we work closely.
Other projects have included making boxes for the gymnastics club, steps to assist riders get on their horses, specialist equipment for a disabled child, repairing seats in the CBD, and mending tools for the Community Gardens. As well people can make their own things.
This year we have also been busy setting up the produce shed so that it is a fully functional
workshop. We also have tea and coffee-making facilities next door, and sitting round the table
chatting is one of our main activities.
Anyone is welcome, contact Hugh Booker 528 9169, Bevan Burnett 021 129 8917, or Tony Small
