Our weekly painting mornings aim to share and develop skills and experiences with all mediums. There is a tutor or workshop each month and plenty of fun and learning to be had. New members are welcome.
This month we held our AGM which was well attended and some very positive ideas were proposed for the coming year. Ron Tippett stays as our president and treasurer. Jean McNabb has left the committee after two years of input. Thanks to Jean for all her support and hard work. Other committee members continue there good work.
Steve Turner gave a brief talk on his new love of Pen and Wash. One of his pictures is shown below.
In late April we were delighted to have a day with Quilliam Collister from Christchurch. He gave us a thorough tutorial on 'Line and Wash' and everyone was delighted with the results.

Earlier in April we had the pleasure of a workshop from Upper Moutere artist Fleur Woods for an exercise in Floral Flat lays.
This was inspiring and fun. At this time of year there is so much colour in the garden that it didn't take much imagination to make some delightful arrangements. We then photographed them and some members will have some more fun 'playing' with the photos for more arty creations.
